Please God…

7 02 2010

I just had a scare earlier.  I really hope the kid’s ok.

Ok.  A little backgrounder.  I have to learn how to drive and I have to learn fast.  So, a friend volunteered to let me practice with her car.  We went driving around Las Pinas and Alabang last night.  And, I’m proud to say I did ok.

Then, this morning, we went to Cavite via the Daang-Hari road.  She made me take this route so I can practice driving in “hanging” parts of the road.  We made it to Imus without an incident.  The scare happened n Imus.  We were caught in traffic when my friend noticed the woman inside the jeepney ahead of us.  She was holding her toddler and the kid was vomiting.  What was scary was that the kid was vomiting like he had a faucet instead of a mouth.  And the woman was panicking.

My friend got out and asked what was happening.  There was a traffic enforcer who looked like he was looking for help for the woman.  My friend volunteered to see them to the nearest hospital.  We switched places because there was no way I am going to drive in an emergency like that.  At least, not yet.

And as we were driving them to the clinic the woman kept crying and I was scared for her and her son.  When I looked at him the kid’s eyes looked like it was glazing over and he was having trouble breathing.  I couldn’t look at him long enough.  So, I just looked straight ahead and prayed with the woman.

And I am still praying up to this moment that the kid’s ok.  I think he’s still alive when we got to the clinic.  I just pray that he got attention as soon as possible and that he pulls through.

The Philippines

3 02 2010

I have never been outside the Philippines.  In fact, my passport remains untouched.  A virgin, so to speak.  :)

However, I have been to certain places in the Philippines that is something to be proud of and I would still love to visit other places that I know are also beautiful.  Some of you might think that it’s pretty useless for me to post photos of the Philippines here.  But I’m doing this in the hopes that people from other countries might stumble upon this and be enticed to visit the Philippines.

I hope all of you will enjoy this as much as I did.

The rock formation looked amazing.  I hope you can see what I saw when I took the photo.  We walked for an hour or so to reach the caldera but it was worth it.

Well, these are what I have so far.  There are a few really good places I’ve been to before but as I didn’t have a digital camera at the time I can’t share the pictures and the experience with you.  Hopefully, I’d get to visit those places again and take pictures.

I’m a Couch Potato!!!

2 02 2010

I have always been a couch potato.  I’m not saying I’m proud of it but that’s what I am.

I remember when I was a little girl, I’d read all the stories in my textbooks before classes even started.  And my favorite pasalubong whenever my parents go on trips?  Coloring books!  Yes, all you have to do to shut me up is hand me a good book and point to a corner.  Oh, and stuff sineguelas in mouth but that’s another story.

Anyway, my love for tv shows followed my love for books.  My Lola and my Mother both loved watching tv shows so, naturally, it rubbed off on me.  But, that was not the end of my addictions.

The icing on the cake?

I am now addicted to the internet.  It may be surfing the net, going online in Facebook, watching my favorite tv shows, and reading ebooks, it doesn’t matter what I do I just have to be online.  And being able to access the net in the office is not enough.  I only get satisfaction when I’m at home and using my laptop.

And this is the reason why I decided to put up blogs.  So, I would, at least have a good reason to go online.

But being addicted to all the stuff I’m addicted to also have perks.  It is also one way to learn about certain things that you wouldn’t normally learn in everyday life.  Unless, you’re put in the position where you’re forced to learn and that’s not always fun.

So, I am not proud that all I am is a couch potato but I am proud of all the things I learned by being one.

Marriott Hotel, Manila

2 02 2010

I was able to spend a few hours in Manila Marriott Hotel last week, thanks to a function I had to attend for work.  But, I don’t regret it.  It was an amazing experience.  The place is great but I only have one picture.  Guess where?  hahahaha!!!

Plus, the entertainment was pretty cool too.  A couple of my officemates sang and The St. Petersburg Sensation performed a few numbers but I accidentally deleted the videos I took.  :(

New Pages…

17 01 2010

I have decided to expand my blog by adding new pages to it.  I now have two more pages.

  • Food for the Soul  -  showcases all my favorites quotes from books, shows, and movies.  Each of these quotes made an impact on me one way or another.
  • Buy Now!  -  I have recently decided to try my luck on this online selling stuff.  And this page provides link to ll my products online.

Well, check them out and I hope you find something that interests you.  Have fun.  :)

My Next Move

15 01 2010

I was never one to plan ahead, guess that’s why I was never that good in chess.  I always believed that life, in general, should be lived one day at a time.  And maybe, I just haven’t found that one thing that will not make me lose interest.  My father once told me that I’m never satisfied.  I don’t think that’s what it is.  I think I just haven’t found that one thing that will make me stay.

But, don’t get me wrong.  I can make short-term goals just not the long-term ones.  And the few short-term goals I made, I actually achieved.

And, right now.  As I sit in front of the computer, I am back to contemplating my life and what I have achieved so far.

It’s true that I don’t have a successful career that most of my classmates in high school do but I also don’t think I’d been wasting my time.  Sometimes, it’s also good to take risks and discover yourself in the process.  And, believe me, I took risks and I believe I triumphed over them too.

And that’s what I have achieved so far.  I believe I now know more about myself than some people do.  And I will try my best to know more about me.
